I think the beauty of such a experience is that I couldn't tell you what we would share until we're there sharing: we're all complicated, interesting bundles of experiences and how I interact with you and what we choose to share is very specific to who you are and what relationship we're building together. But I think wherever the conversation is going I would communicate that I'm a person who is never satisfied with where he is, who has sought always to improve himself and make the best of situations that at times have been difficult, that this is the essence of life as I see it.

Pues creo que la belleza de compartiendo tal experiencia es que no puedo decir qué compartiríamos hasta que ya estemos compartiendo: todos somos bultos interesantes y variados de experiencias, y cómo interactúo contigo y qué elegimos compartir es muy específico de quién eres y qué relación estamos construyendo juntos. Pero no importa a donde va la conversación creo que comunicaría yo que soy una persona quien nunca está satisfecho con donde está, quien siempre ha buscado la manera de mejorarse a sí mismo y hacer lo mejor con situaciones a veces difíciles, que eso es la esencia de la vida como la veo.

My life at the moment is travel, in essence. I left Canada three years ago to hitchhike the Americas and spend lengths of time in different cities along the way. I've hitchhiked for many years and over more than ten journeys have had more than 800 rides across 100,000 km. I actually had my first client the first night I was hitchhiking when I was 17, on the I-5 south or Portland, Oregon. Travel for me isn't only a fantastic way to meet new people and perspectives but provides me great inspiration for my writing.

En esencia mi vida en este momento es viajando. Salí de Canadá hace tres años para pedir aventón por las Américas y pasar ratos en varias ciudades en el camino. He pedido aventón por muchos años y sobre más que diez viajes he tenido más que 800 aventones a través de 100,000 km. De verdad tuve mi primer cliente la primera noche que pedí aventón cuando tenía 17 años, por la carretera I-5 al sure de Portland, Oregon. Viajando para mi no solo es una manera maravillosa para conocer nuevas personas y perspectivas pero también me da gran inspiración para mi escritura.

I would have to say my comfort with new situations and people, which speaks to my understanding nature. It takes something quite out there to throw me, but near always my curiosity and love of new experiences has me enjoying what I may never have experienced before rather than rejecting it. I'm no freer than judgement than anyone else but I try not to let that cloud me from seeing the humanity we still share in our difference and the beauty in the diversity of our world, feelings that have guided me in much of my life and my thirst for knowledge and experience.

Tendría que decir mi comodidad con nuevas situaciones y personas, una característica que habla de mi natura comprensiva. Tiene que ser algo muy intensivo para sorprenderme, y casi siempre mi curiosidad y entusiasmo para nuevas experiencias me hacen disfrutar lo nuevo en cambio de rechazarlo. No soy más libre de juicio que cualquier otro pero siempre trato de no dejarlo nublar la humanidad que aún compartimos entre nuestras diferencias y la belleza en la diversidad de nuestro mundo, sentimientos que me han guiado en mucho de mi vida y mi deseo para conocimiento y experiencia.
