  I Believe nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, 'press on' has solved, and always will solve, the problems of the human race.

  I admire the amount of self-control I have. I don’t always feed into my wants or cravings because I know that they will not always benefit me and that they will always be there for me if I can’t afford them now (if it is something that can be bought). I think it is good to have control of your emotions during certain moments. For instance I think anger is okay in certain situations, but in others it is just a temporary solution that normally ends up making things worse rather than better.
  
  I also like that I have a lot of patience. It is vital that I do not agitate easily since I will be teaching children for the majority of my life and they don’t always automatically get things. It can sometimes be a very tedious and slow process, but it is my job to not get mad or give up on them because everyone deserves a chance to learn and understand something no matter how long it may take them to do so. With everything being so fast-paced nowadays, I find over time that my patience is slowly dwindling down, but I know that there is no reason to rush learning because I live to see the moment when the light bulb goes off in their minds.
